Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA)

The proliferation of commercial imagery analysis, geographic information system technologies, and standardized data formats, creates opportunities for collaborative research and development between NGA and the private sector to enhance national scientific and technical GEOINT capabilities.

 

NGA Academic Research Program (NARP)

NGA seeks grant proposals from eligible U.S. institutions for pathbreaking GEOINT research in areas of potential interest to NGA, the DoD, and the intelligence community. The Broad Agency Announcement is available on Grants.gov as Funding Opportunity Number HM0476-18-BAA-0001.

Visiting Scientist Fellowship Program

NGA’s seeks to recruit domain specialists engaged in scholarly scientific research related to the agency’s strategic goals and GEOINT technologies, processes and methodologies. Fellowships are available  to U.S. citizens who are recent undergraduate and graduate degree holders within five years of their most recent degree, and are administered via a government-wide contract with the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). Appointments can range from 6 months to 5 years.
