NGA Mentor-Protégé Program
**Accepting applications until June 30 at 5 p.m. ET** Interested applicants can email mpp@nga.mil.
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Mentor-Protégé Program through the Office of the Secretary of Defense helps eligible small businesses develop qualifications and abilities to compete for prime contract and subcontract awards. The small businesses (protégés) partner with large businesses (mentors) to establish project-based agreements designed to meet NGA mission requirements.
The Mentor-Protégé Program was created as a pilot program (Public Law 101-510) in 1990 by former Senator Sam Nunn and implemented by former Defense Secretary William Perry.
Mentors and Protégés are solely responsible for finding their counterpart. The NGA Office of Small Business Programs does not participate in the teaming of Mentors and Protégés. Interested firms are encouraged to explore existing business relationships in an effort to establish a Mentor Protégé relationship. Mentors may have multiple Protégés however Protégés may only have one Mentor. Only Mentors may submit for the program. The agreement with the government is solely with the Mentor.
For more information on the Mentor-Protégé Program and eligibility go to DOD website at http://business.defense.gov/Programs/Mentor-Protege-Program/ .

NGA's Tech Focus Areas
The publication of the 2022 Technology Focus Areas communicates that NGA has defined specific and concrete functions and capabilities required to deliver on its operational mission — mission imperatives. For most of this document, rather than focus on the future with purely a technology lens, it will focus on it with a mission lens, sharing the mission imperatives and the key initiatives within them.
