NGA has a long history of partnering with the academic community on mutually beneficial activities. There are many potential mechanisms by which an academic institution or faculty member may engage with NGA. Described below are some, but not all, of the possible types of partnerships.

NGA Academic Research Program calls for grant proposals - NGA seeks proposals from eligible U.S. institutions for path-breaking GEOINT research in areas of potential interest to NGA, the DoD, and the Intelligence Community (IC).
