The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is scheduled to host an industry day and technical exchange at its Springfield, VA, and St. Louis, MO campuses Sept. 7.

The Olympus Industry Day provides a forum for data brokers, content and data service providers, integrators and developers to interact with NGA experts on some of the agency’s upcoming capability requirements.

The event will be an opportunity for interested businesses to learn about Department of Defense and NGA’s acquisition processes, according to Alex Hannagan, Olympus program manager.

“Olympus will help NGA transform the way it delivers GEOINT across a common platform,” said Hannagan. “We are stretching how we look for all those great, untapped geospatial data sets and services that exist outside the walls of NGA and our traditional partners.

“The goal of Olympus is to establish a scalable program vehicle with repeatable processes to integrate emerging geospatial content and capabilities across mobile, desktop and web-based environments,” he concluded.

The industry day and technical exchange meeting is open for any U.S. citizen to attend. RSVPs must be received by noon ET Aug. 24.
