National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency employees are hosting a booth at the USA Science and Engineering Festival in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C., April 7-8.
Agency employees will be demonstrating light detection and ranging the morning of April 7. They will also be demonstrating a thermal camera and augmented reality all three days, as well as a model of Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, which NGA worked in collaboration with other intelligence agencies to create, will be on display.
The festival will host over 1,000 science and engineering organizations providing more than 3,000 hands-on activities and more than 50 stage shows. As the largest employer of scientists and engineers in the federal government, the Department of Defense’s participation demonstrates the commitment to inspiring and attracting the next generation of STEM talent.
