
NGA Director Robert Cardillo welcomed Navy Adm. James A. “Sandy” Winnefeld, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Feb. 9 at NCE.
Winnefeld’s visit, his first official visit to NCE as vice chairman, included a walk-through of the NGA Operations Center that included a demonstration of Map of the World and analytic briefings.
The visit served as an opportunity to showcase NGA’s mission, the agency’s efforts to revolutionize access to geospatial intelligence data, and transform the analytic tradecraft to provide consequence to policymakers and warfighters.
